This week I've been sharing Studio Nine Pop Up Shop in Totnes with Melissa Marie Leather. We have come together to fill this small but beautiful retail space with her handcrafted leather goods and my handmade contemporary jewellery.
Melissa and I met last year at a Christmas selling event at Anran, Devon.
I noticed Melissa had applied to host a pop up in Totnes and I got in touch to see if she'd like to share. The space works perfectly for us. I can fill the smallest nooks with jewellery and Melissa can hang her bags and fill the larger nooks with bags and her accessories.
We met at the shop on Sunday afternoon and quickly got to work setting out the window display to entice our customers into the shop. The display soon came together and we were ready to open.
We have shared the shifts in the shop across the week. I've been really enjoying watching passers by looking in the window and chatting to customers who have come in to take a closer look. It's been a really nice experience to set up my own temporary retail space. It's definetly something I'd like to do again in the future.
